The City of Perth’s Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2016-2020, identifies the outcomes the City of Perth will achieve to improve access and inclusion for people of all abilities. It outlines key actions that will be implemented to reduce and eliminate barriers within our City and to advocate for equity of access for all in our society. This Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) complies with Commonwealth and State legislative requirements to ensure that access for all is at the forefront of all planning and partnership actions and developments within the City’s boundaries.

Extensive consultation was undertaken with internal and external stakeholders to develop this plan. Their feedback, views and aspirations have been incorporated and are reflected throughout.

Your comments on the draft DAIP will assist the City of Perth to further develop the document.

The Council invites people with disabilities, their families and carers, disability organisations and other interested parties to provide written feedback on the plan, helping to ensure the City is able to provide best practice in addressing access issues for all people who visit or work in the city.

The DAIP was finalised and formally endorsed by Council on 9 August 2016. The City advertised the availability of its DAIP through state and local newspapers. The City’s DAIP is available for viewing and downloading by clicking the following link:
